Iam glad to announce that we conducted a very successful sack potato farming training course in Harare early last month as scheduled on our calendar. I was so happy to see how a lot of Zimbabweans are grasping new age farming techniques and how they have realized that there is money in potato farming. A lot of young Zimbabweans had their hearts stolen by tech business and view investing in farming as slow and outdated but the uncertainties provided by their options drove them back to farming and this time to Potato farming.
Sack potato farming has surprisingly risen in all parts of Zimbabwe. I was in Budiriro the other time and I saw potato sacks in the backyard at a friend’s house. I went in Zvimba and saw someone experimenting again with these potatoes in bags. Then a lot of people in Harare are realizing the value of their backyard space and all you see now are potato sacks. You don’t even need to mess up your landscape for other future projects. You could even opt to hang some of the potato sacks. I have created a group called the ziminvestors insiders of all the people we have trained so they can share potato farming ideas.
Below is the sack potato farming training in pictures. I urge you all to move with the tide and grab a piece of the pie. Don’t be trapped by dogma. Why not try out this potato movement by having even two sack potato bags in your backyard. Experiment and if you are impressed then go large scale. The money in Zimbabwe is in the soil. Use it. Exploit it.
