Life assurance in Zimbabwe – a smart way to secure your estate and your family’s future

Life insurance in Zimbabwe sometimes called life assurance is an area which has given Insurance companies in Zimbabwe and finance oligarchs sleepless nights to find a lasting solution. The greatest challenge was the hyper inflationary period Zimbabwe experienced around year 2008. The question that I have been asked by many is, “Is this time to put faith in Insurance companies in Zimbabwe?” My answer has always been the same. The risks we face have never changed. You still have wealth and children who will need your protection in the event you die. No excuse can be found for not having a life policy.

Have you ever thought about the loss of income that may happen to your children in the event you are to pass away? Do you need to protect your accumulated wealth against estate duty in the event that you die? Are you a young couple with maybe one child and you are still acquiring wealth but not enough to see your child or children right up to University. Maybe you haven’t yet purchased any immovable property as yet.

Are you a Zimbabwean in the diaspora and you are also worried about almost the same things. You have been away from Zimbabwe for more than ten years now but you haven’t made as much wealth as you had anticipated and you are afraid that if you are to die, then your family in Zimbabwe will have but a little from your savings. Zimbabwe life Insurance companies have Life assurance solutions which will pay a lump sum to named beneficiaries in the event that you are to die. Iam told that from most of these companies, you don’t have to go for medicals. Thus if you are to die, you have safeguarded the future of your children from the financial loss that may happen as a result of your death.

In Zimbabwe there are several life Insurance companies. There are a lot of factors one should consider choosing who to take your life assurance policy with. I have noticed that Zimbabwe Insurance companies rarely appear in the newspapers on the wrong side of public policy or national statutes. That is a good sign to the Insuring public. If you want assistance on what to consider when selecting a life Insurance company (in Zimbabwe) to place your business with, get in touch with me through the contact us page.

Please note that in this article I use the term Insurance and Assurance to mean the same thing.

To your continued success
